This week’s post is a bit of a client case study of sorts, the COO for one of my dental clients recently sent me this article that talked about their clinic and what they do to make patients comfortable. If you worked in dentistry wouldn’t you like your clinic associated with making people comfortable and providing great service? Me too.
Your business is no different. There are things that you can do to make you stand out from the crowd. There are things that you can do that other people want to talk about. The hard part about becoming known for something is deciding what we want to be known for. This takes time and it takes patience. What I wanted to be known for in my business is not what I am known for today. Through the process of doing, I was able to discover the sweet spot where passion meets skill. That’s the spot every business owner needs to find.
Great businesses are intentional businesses. How they got to their destination may seem like an accident but there was always focused action behind it even if that action wasn’t always the right action. My dental client became great by choice not by accident.
If you want to stand out in a crowded market you have to be willing to stand for something. Take the stand boldly and it means that some people will love what you do and it also means that some people will hate what you do.
Can you get past the fact that some people won’t like you or your message? If so, you’re ready for greatness.
For today, here’s a copy of my book Total Experience Design: How To Stand Out In A Crowded Market. No opt ins. No information. Just click and download. It’s a road map to creating an unreasonable business that makes a difference. Enjoy.
