Taking the easy road with your website

For most, setting up a website can seem like a pretty big task.  Fortunately our tech nerd friends keep making it easier and easier to put a site together.

I wont get into the nuts and bolts of doing a website as that is not my expertise.  I will give you a few nuggets to start mapping out and be aware of when you are ready to get started.

The first thing to understand clearly is what you want your site to do and what the vision is for your project.  This makes the process a lot quicker when you can clearly articulate your needs to the company or person designing your site.

The other important tip is to make sure that you develop an understanding in the process.  While I don’t expect you need to learn the ins and outs of the process.  You should be familiar with what’s going on.  I ran across a post on simple and cost effective tools to set up your site and manage it to illustrate an idea on how the process can be easier.

So, what’s the easy road again?  Put simply, it’s being prepared with the vision and owning the process throughout.  If you do this before you get started, you will be pleased with your results and put your business in the position to have a well functioning website.
