moving people through purposeLeaders are really good at telling people what to do to their detriment.  Leaders are also notorious for lacking margin and time.  When you put these two factors together, you get uninspired team members and frustrated leaders.  Today’s podcast is about getting past the what.

When you lack time and patience, the last thing you want to do as a leader is explain yourself.  Just get it done damn it!

Leaving out the why means missing a chance to empower a team member to go further in their own development and step out of their comfort zone.  The more this happens, the more they start taking their role into their own hands and the less they come to you to solve their problems. It’s challenging at first but reaps dividends down the line.
