I Have No Experience

catandmirrorMore mindset fluff for today.  You’re welcome.  Now on to our program.

One of the biggest factors that kill our enterpreneurial careers before they even start is experience.  You think that because you have no experience that you have no value to give in the marketplace.

The analogy displayed of the cat looking at itself in the mirror and seeing a lion is critical to your success.  When you are conveying your message to others conviction is important.  How you see yourself will dictate your level of conviction in your message.  Once you are clear on your purpose and ability for value creation then it’s time to move onto actions.

What are your actions saying about you in living your plan and creating a new platform for yourself.  In the Malcolm Gladwell book Outliers, he takes about fortunate circumstances as part of success.  What are you doing to get out and make these fortunate circumstances a part of your every day occurence.  The more you are out there playing in your chosen field of work, the more likely you are going to get a lucky break.  Hard work is important here as well.  What are you doing to educate yourself and build your message.  The more you can engage in this practice early on, the better.

In the end, your experience is not the most critical aspect.  It’s how you cultivate your identified passion and plan that matters.  Conviction of purpose can make up a lot of ground on experience.  The question is, are you looking in the mirror and seeing a kitten or a lion?
